For an international project in Washington, we are urgently looking for a Senior Database Modeler/Lead Developer with Azure experience. Candidates need to be available within 2 to 4 weeks!
The position requires a quality-focused and detail-oriented Database Developer with a demonstrated track record of providing solutions for high-priority business goals and strategic management decisions. The consultant should be a skilled troubleshooter and problem solver with the ability to translate business processes and problem statements into requirements and must be able to deliver results within tight timelines.
We are looking for a contractor, who is able to work 8 hours US (Washington) time. This position is long-term. Candidates need to be fluent in English.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating, and maintaining, conceptual, logical, and physical data models defining business requirements for large scale applications and business intelligence purpose;
- Extensive experience in mapping data elements for ETL purposes;
- Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects;
- Experience in generating physical DDL to deploy to databases;
- Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions;
- Guide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces;
Profile
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +8 years of hands on experience in data analysis and modelling using ERWin for Structured data on relational database, such as Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server;
- Strong experience in wring SQL queries and scripts for data analysis and migration scripts;
- Strong experience in Azure Data Lake and migrating data from on-premise to cloud databases;
- Hands on experience in ETL, data cleansing, data dictionary, mapping and profiling;
- Experience in architecture & design of data models and modelling tools like Erwin;
- Experience with large datasets and analytics platforms as well as Cloud Technologies (Azure/AWS), AKS;
- Role Specific Experience: relevant technical and business work experience in Digital Technologies;
- Extensive experience as a Data Analyst and Data Programmer;
- Extensive experience with Postgres, Oracle and other database technologies;
- Extensive experience data visualizations tools such as PowerBi;
- Extensive experience with various system development lifecycle methodologies and tailoring theartifacts to those methodologies;
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools.
- Knowledge and experience in DB implementation.
- Experience with implementing information security in DA, Reporting.
- Experience in problem solving with strong skills in design and problem formulation; data curation; data acquisition, data cleaning, and data management; data interpretation and analysis; and the presentation and communication of results.
