For an international organization in New York, we are urgently looking for a REMOTE (Senior) Angular Accessibility developer with MEAN platform apps experience, implementing accessibility for large consumer-facing web applications from the ground up. . Candidates need to be fluent in English. All positions are long-term. This position is open for freelancers and employees.
Candidates need to be able at least to work 4-5 hours per day in the normal office hours of New York, US. Example 9 AM NY time equals 7:30 PM.
Tasks and deliverables:
- Produce high-quality work products that meet or exceed client expectations;
- Effectively communicate accessibility requirements and issues in writing as well as verbally in meetings with project team, business clients and stakeholders;
- Serving as a reliable source of answers for accessibility questions;
- Continuously improving internal team’s digital accessibility knowledge and skills;

Effectively supporting quality accessibility deliverables to our clients;
Profile:
- Bachelor or University degree;
3+ years working with Angular (NOT AngularJS) web-apps, currently using Angular 12;
3+ years of experience with accessibility standards for all platforms (web, mobile, desktop) and how they apply to products and services including: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA);

2+ years of experience in assistive technologies and screen readers (preferably JAWS);
Exposure to Git, GitLab workflows and CI/CD pipelines;
- Exposure of Microservices architecture, Docker container implementation;
- Exposure to build application services on Amazon cloud services (AWS);
- Good interpersonal skills to work with developers in an agile environment;
- Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required;
