A Software simulations solution company based in Sri Lanka is looking for a System Engineer to join their team.

Our client provides advanced software simulation solutions with a focus on transforming training, safety, and operational decision-making through innovation.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage, advance, and sustain the company web system.
  • Administration of various kinds of production services and systems.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to automate and increase system efficiency.
  • Configure and maintain operating systems, applications, and services.
  • Proactively ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Implement and maintain ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 standards.
Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Security from a recognized university or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience in t Unix/Linux based operating systems such as Debian, Ubuntu, Redhat, and Centos.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a system engineer/ associate system engineer or similar position.
  • Good understanding of network protocols and analyzing tools.
  • Hands-on experience in web development with expertise in WordPress, PHP, Mysql, bash scripting, java scripting, and python.
  • Experience configuring various services such as Apache, Tomcat, FTP, and DNS on Linux operating systems.
  • Experience in cloud-based services. AWS would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in containerization technologies such as Docker would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in ISO 27001 projects would be an added advantage.
